From the north coast stretches the famous nature reserve of “Stagnone” a large lagoon, which includes the island of Mozia, Big Island, Schola and Santa Maria. The real feature of the Reserve are the Salt Pans, they are built around the coast and are surrounded by towering windmills that make this piece of Sicily original and unique.
